Reverie Apartments - Amazing Specials, Great Prices, Location

If you're looking to rent a luxury apartment in Houston's River Oaks area, we would love the opportunity to show you around Reverie at River Hollow and all our apartment community offers. Perhaps you are already considering a move here and want to know more.

Exploring our website, you will see available floorplans and a list of our top-tier amenities. The photo gallery gives a peek inside and a neighborhood map shows you what's nearby.

Going beyond that, a good way to learn about an apartment community before moving in is to talk to its residents and staff, so we asked our team and a Reverie resident for tips and insights. Let's find out what they think.

What Makes Reverie Stand Out Among Apartments in The Area?

According to our team, Reverie stands out by offering luxury mid-rise living in a prime location within Uptown and the River Oaks area, while settled in a quiet neighborhood. Plus, unlike many apartment communities, Reverie is constructed of concrete and steel, attributing to a quieter living environment.

Ed, a Reverie resident for nearly two years, says "the location and size of the property" makes us stand out.

"Off the beaten path and not as large as other properties in the area," he says. “"I love the location. It is very convenient to access major freeways in Houston, and yet feels a little secluded. Close to all kinds of retail stores, restaurants, grocery stores and beautiful Memorial Park."

"Also, the property is managed by the owners (not a 3rd party), which makes a big difference to how well the property is managed," Ed adds. "They are local, family owned and not a huge conglomerate like most of the other apartments in the area. The property is well maintained, and the team here actually cares about its residents! They take great pride in it since they are residents as well. They make you feel like it is your home, not an apartment complex."

The Most Popular Apartment & Community Amenities

The 8th floor social lounge and outdoor sky deck with panoramic views of Memorial Park and Downtown skyline are among the most popular community amenities at Reverie, according to our team. These areas are muti-functional, from working to socializing.

Ed says the gym is his favorite community amenity.

"Nice size gym, bright and clean!! Has great workout equipment as well as a yoga/exercise room," says Ed. "Has everything you need and is well maintained… I've never had issues getting access to the gym or the equipment. The pool is also very nice!"

As for apartment amenities, our team thinks the Gourmet chef kitchens with beautiful backsplash design stand out the most. No matter the size of the floorplan, the kitchens are spacious with plenty of cabinets for storage and countertops for food preparation.

Ed likes the kitchen, too, especially the gas stove: "I love having a gas stove again because it makes cooking much easier for me. I was used to gas from my home. Also being on the 5th floor, I love the higher ceilings! It makes the apartment feel and look bigger!"

According to the Reverie team, our 24-hour strength and cardio center with separate yoga/spin studio featuring Wellbeats fitness on demand system is the perfect space to get in a great workout in. The best time to work out is first thing in the morning or in the evening after 7pm.

Fun Resident Social Events a Great Way to Meet Your Neighbors

Reverie brings the community together for monthly resident social events, including events for the furry residents, plus an annual pool party and holiday events.

The annual winter holiday event is the most popular social event for both residents and our team. Everyone who attends comes dressed in festive attire without any encouragement by the team to do so, and the interaction between the neighbors is "very spirited."

Ed says he attended a few social events. "I enjoyed the event at Postino's, which is across the street from the complex. It was fun, relaxing, and got to meet a few other very nice residents! Great to get out of the building."

Reverie posts upcoming resident events on social media including Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to follow us so you don’t miss any events. The team also posts event flyers in common areas.

What Else Should You Know When Renting an Apartment at Reverie?

Next, we asked Ed and our team what tips they could provide for someone moving to an apartment at Reverie, and what the new residents should know. Here are a few tips the team shared:

  • Reverie is a very pet friendly community, and features Fur family member amenity spaces, including a Pet Spa and On-Site Dog Run.
  • Our apartment community includes an 8-level parking garage. Floors 1-7 are designated for residents on a “first come, first serve” basis. Level 8 is for guest parking.
  • For residents and guests using ride share services, Reverie features an Uber Waiting Lounge. In addition, we are conveniently located within walking distance of METRORapid Transit.
  • Residents can add their own light fixture in the living room, giving their home a personal decorative touch. Apartments do not include overhead lighting in the living room; however, they are all wired to allow residents the opportunity to customize their space.

Ed's tip is that while Reverie is quiet most of the time, new and potential residents should be aware of the traffic and congestion in the area at different times of the day.

"This is one of the busiest areas of Houston with lots to do and see," he says. "It is city living, but off the beaten path."

Reverie's Location in the River Oaks Area

Although our location provides easy access to major highways, employers, restaurants, entertainment, and shopping, it is in a quiet, secluded neighborhood where residents can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere without hearing city traffic congestion.

Single residents enjoy walkability to local restaurants and nightlife. Families appreciate the convenience of living in a neighborhood that is family-friendly and great for walking anytime, day or night. The proximity to excellent public and private schools is also a plus.

Ed describes the area as "very cosmopolitan, global (lots of international folks) and open to all." He adds that the area is a great place for singles to live. "Lots of new interesting people are moving to Houston, and you get to meet many of them!"

Recommended Restaurants & Things to Do in the Area

Ed recommends shopping at the Galleria, River Oaks District and Highland Village. He says there are great restaurants for dining out. When asked which ones he recommends, here's what he said:

"There are so many! J Alexanders, Urbe, Mendocino farms, North Italia, Maggiano's to name a few. There are at least 50 or more good restaurants in the area!"

Our team agrees. "There is such a variety of cuisine options, from casual to formal, in the area. For a tasty breakfast or brunch spot, you can't go wrong with Bloom & Bee, Eloise Nichols, LePeep, or Snooze AM.  Looking to lunch? Check out Flower Child, North Italia, Le Colonial, or J Alexander's. For delicious steak and seafood options, either Maestro's, Steak 48, Morton's Steakhouse, Eddie V's, or Willie G's. Craving something sweet? You can indulge at Crave Cupcakes, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Sweet Paris, or Pinkberry."

As for activities, our team says singles will appreciate the variety of shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and recreation nearby. Living within minutes of Uptown Park, The River Oaks District, Memorial Park, and Houston Polo Club is a plus.

For families, there are a variety of restaurants and dessert cafes in Uptown Park and recreational activities, including the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, Memorial Park Baseball and Picnic Area, nearby.

Ed recommends going to Memorial Park. "Memorial Park has great walking trails, tennis, golf etc. The Houston Arboretum is within walking distance and is great as well."

Both Ed and the team agree that Reverie is "a great place to call home if you like the excitement of city living and being close to everything." Come join us and you will see why!
